Starting a computer repair business in this current economy can be tough, but also rewarding. My husband and I started our business in January 2002 by opening our company Geeks in Minutes.

We were surprised at how profitable business was in the beginning. We felt we had a great niche in our business because we focused on Ps3 and Xbox360 repairs and we were the only shop in our area that did these repairs. After some time, we realized that fixing gaming consoles was risky because there were no permanent fixes and the problems would come back. This is when we switched gears and focused on computer repair. We decided to focus on on-site computer repair (traveling to residential and commercial businesses) and also in shop repairs. We have experienced that on-site computer repair is a profitable business even in a declining economy.

With on-site computer repair you get to save time. To most people, time is something limited and therefore, needs to be saved. While doing your work it would be very inconvenient if you suddenly have the need to stop simply to have your PC repaired. The bottom line is that on-site computer repair spells convenience.
